The KDM Foundation (KDM) is eagerly preparing for our 13th AnnualFun Run in Sea Bright, NJ, which is scheduled to take place onSaturday, March 15, 2014.

Your participation and generosity has enabled KDM to complete awide array of projects throughout our area.

Please be mindful of a few important changes, which aim to improvethe race experience for everyone. Similar to other large charitableraces, pre-registration will be required for all participants who wishto receive a racing number and official running time.

You may pre-register online by visiting www.kdmfoundation.comuntil February 23rd and your racing number and electronic trackingchip will be mailed to you. For those who do not pre-register, you willstill be able to participate on the day of the race and to receive thisyear’s KDM race shirt while supplies last.The registration price is $35.

KDM FOUNDATION

The Keith McHeffey Foundation was created to keep the spirit of Keith McHeffey and countlessother local victims of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 alivethrough a variety of charitable functions. To this end, the Foundation has created a permanentmemorial to area victims by renovating Memorial Field at Piping Rock Park in Rumson, NJ, helpingto complete the children's playground at Fair Haven Fields, donating a digital scoreboard to SicklesSchool in Fair Haven and most recently providing Sea Bright Recreation $10,000 to complete thebeach playground area. The Foundation also awards annual scholarships in his name to studentsat Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School and has assisted many of the youth sports programsincluding Fair Haven, Rumson and Sea Bright.

TEAMS WILL BE SCORED BY THE AVERAGE FINISH TIME OF THE TOP FIVE FINISHERS IN EACH GROUP. AMINIMUM OF FIVE PARTICIPANTS IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR TEAM SCORING AND TO BE

ELIGIBLE FOR TEAM TROPHY. DUE TO THE LARGE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS AND TIME CONSTRAINTS,PARTICIPANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER ONLINE. THE RACE BEGINS AT 11 A.M. SHARP.

Exercising, having fun with the kids and helping others to reach their goals and potential are allpart of Bob Kelleher's legacy and the spirit in which this race has been founded. The Kids Tri forBob Kelleher, the first kids triathlon to be held at Victory Park in Rumson, NJ. This event will beheld in memory of Bob Kelleher, a Rumson resident who passed away unexpectedly in July 2009.This event is particularly appropriate to honor Bob, as it conveys some of the passions that wereso much a part of his daily life. To name a few, Bob was an avid Triathlete, participating innumerous local races as well as completing three "IronMan" Competitions in Lake Placid, NY.Another important passion of Bob's was his enthusiasm for volunteering. He regularly coachedhis son and local children in several Rumson Recreation sports. When Bob passed away he wasthe Captain of the Rumson First Aid Squad, where he had been an active volunteer since 2003.

The proceeds for this race will be donated toThe Rumson First Aid Squad and Rumson Recreation Program.
