Stage design for preformance

Client brief

• The client brief was that the client wished the set to represent their theme of their piece of migrations initial ideas were things such as birds and bird flight before settling on the idea of maps and grid lines which could be made abstract and random.

Mood board

Original plan for the set and the grid lines for it laid out as I wouldve liked it on the halls floor

The hall floor plan to the to scale of 8.5 to 8.2

The idea was to create random abstract grids as was the client brief

The matrix of long and short lines to make up an abstract grid

Materials used

• The only material needed for the set was LX tape as it is easy to pull up between pieces and thick enough to give effect in the white colouring without being obtrusive to the performer as well as cheap

Here is the pricing of materials for the set needed here on www.stagelamps.co.uk I would need two rolls of white LX tape costing a total of £1.96

Evaluation

• The set was impractical as it too ages to lay down within the running order if it was first in the running order this would have worked but it wasn’t and my set design was scrapped and replaced by a practical design
