Developed a database “fish chromosomes world” containing
Karyo- morphdogical information on 126 finfish species from
34 families & 9 orders.
High production from 100-200kg/ha/year to 1000kg/ha/year
attained in beels / wetlands through pen-culture technology.
Development of 250 kg hybrid solar fish dryer with LPG/
biogas hitting system(CIFT-CRYER-SOL 250) for drying fish
under control conditions to ensure superior quality products
with attractive colour.
Technology were popularized & implemented
through regular interaction with user agencies, by
imparting training, short term courses,
consultancies & frontline demonstration.
Technology impact on fresh-
water fish production with national average in
pond production of 3 Tons/ha/year with total fish
production of 3.5 million tons from freshwater
aquaculture & annual fish seed production of
24000 million fry.
Feed for different life stages of
carp’s, shrimp & sea-bass has been developed,
transferred to private entrepreneurs of
commercial production.
Development of design of new generation, fuel efficient, multi-purpose fishing vessels.
Development of innovative gears like mesh size purse scène to exploit deeper water fishes.
