Mission Statement

We are a team of students from Umass Dartmouth who would like to make a

sustainable impact on recycling habits in New Bedford. We plan to inform the

community through public service and radio announcements to promote the do’s and

don’ts or recycling in the area.

Our Project

SMART Goals

To ensure sustainability of the PSA scripts. Film and release 5 PSA’s with New Bedford cable access

to be aired before Thanksgiving (November 21st, 2013). Get at least 500 YouTube views collectively of the PSA’s. Get an A as a team. Encourage recycling to those who don’t (Including

education on where to get blue bins and what should and should not be in blue bins).

Reach English and Spanish speaking residents in New Bedford and surrounding area about importance and benefits of recycling.
