KLSD School Closure

Know where to draw the line!Regarding Dr. Kreutzer’s 10/21 presentation

The KLSD school board may vote

to close Lewisboro Elementary

in 2014

On 10/21/2013, Dr. Paul Kreutzer,

superintendent, presented the case

for closure as a public hearing.

Let’s look at his slides … again

There was an error in the original

presentation.

Dr. Kreutzer called it a “slight

inaccuracy …”

We decided to look at all of the

slides …

The District, Elementary, and Grade

1 vs. Grade 12 Enrollment slides all

contain misplaced red-lines

separating “actual” from “projected’

enrollment.

All show decreased projections on

the actual side of the line.

3 Slides . . .

3 misplaced red lines for actual and

projected data.

Is an upswing

in 2013 enrollment

hard to explain?

Something to avoid

showing?

The district enrollment data

presented to the public is deeply

flawed.

Is this sloppy, hastily performed

work?

Or is it a coordinated effort to

mislead the public?

Either way, there is only one thing

to do …

Suspend the work of the School

Closure Task Force.

Stop this now!

It’s the only way to make this right.
