The Ideathon Process

A. Preparation

Match and partner with a charity or business Define the challenge, frame the question(s) desired outcomes and evaluation criteria Decide on the awards and prizes to be offered Determine participants and potential idea sponsors Form teams of 6-10 Set a date and time frame for the ideathon Individuals seek out their sponsors

Publish ideathon website, e-kit, invite participants and host instructional webinar

Ideation, collaboration occurs for approximately 5 days. Teams brainstorm 100 + ideas

Ideathon closes

All ideas are documented and counted prior to evaluation

C. Evaluation

1 day of evaluation occurs against the original criteria set out in part A 2

Top 10 ideas/solutions are posted to the ideathon website

On the final day, ideas/solutions are open to voting via ideathon website
