I was a chubby 13-year-old with little focus ordirection

Flash forward 10 years…

At 20 years old, I was an early employee of DreamWorks, working for Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg &

David Geffen

At 23 years old, I landed my “dream job” as a Writer in the Clinton White

House

I was on the fast track to a career in politics,

becoming a speechwriter for a

Presidential candidate… maybe running for Congress one day

After the White House, I went to work as a speechwriter to

the Governor of California

Things were going great: the Governor got reelected to another 4-

year term.

Working in politics was good to me – I got to meet amazing people.

I had just met a girl and bought my first house.Life was great.

Then one day, it all came crumbling down

A little action movie star by the name of Arnold

Schwarzenegger decided to throw his hat in the Recall Election… and the rest was history.

I was terminated by the Terminator

There was a silver lining: I was able to get a job immediately.

And it worked out with the girl…

We now have two kids.

The experience taught me the

importance of building strong

relationships and a large network

After I lost my job in the California Recall Election,

I decided to “reboot” and go back to law school

I paid my dues, working for other law

firms.

I was working my butt off,

60+ hour weeks

I was miserable.

I didn’t see my family.I hated it.

The problem was: I was not building a network. I relied on my bosses’ network.

I wasn’t thinking like an entrepreneur.

I decided to apply the relationship-building skills I had honed in politics to

building my network in business.

That’s when everything changed.

I took the leap –to start my

I opened my doors and all my relationship-building paid off...

My first month, I made over 3X what I made at my previous job.

In under 3 years, I made over $500,000.
