•When French arrived at America they started building right away.

•They built barns,bisnesses,stores and log cabins gardens and orchards.

•Then they replaced the grass mat’s for wooden shudders.

•They were slaves man hunted and trapped men rowed boats women

•Indians borrowed guns,blante and fur too. French bought moccasins and leather

pants from the Indians.

• They raised wheat ,corn, cotton, flax, hemp, tobacco.

•They also grew fruits and vegetables

• Slaves did most of the work.

• French traders traveled up the Mississippi and the Missouri river to trade furs with the Indians.

•The women had to take care of their families.

•The women had to take care of sick or hurt people

•French Missourians ate gumbos, stews, and soups.

•They also ate wheat bread, corn, nuts, okra, and berries.

•They ate cattle, wild game, and fish also.

•Very Simple Clothes

•Men: Pants, Loose fitting Shirts, capot, Fur Hats, and Fur Mittens.

•Women: Skirts and Earrings.

•Most Children couldn’t afford to go to school.

•Only the richest families could afford it and sent their kids.

•Fun-Loving People.

•Love Horse Racing, Music and Dancing.
