EnergyManagement—Eachschoolhasanenergycoordinatorwhoreceivesmonthlyschool‐specificreportsfromenergymanagementstaffonenergyconsumpRon.

ResourceRecoveryandRecycling—Thedistrictcollectedmorethan10,000tonofsolidwastein2009.

EquipmentModerniza3on—TheCMSPrintShopdecommissionedtwochemicalintensiveprinRngpresses,replacingthemwithenvironmentallyfriendlyXeroxdryprinRngequipment.Morethan80percent(byweight)ofthewastegenerated—includingconsumablessuchasdryink(toner),packagingandparts—canbereturned,reusedorrecycled.

ATransportaRonsDepartmentbusstopconsolidaRonisexpectedtosave$2.4millionin2009‐2010,represenRngareducRonofmorethan31.6metricstonsofcarbonemissionsdaily.

Districtcovers22K‐12campusescoverover221squaremilesinKyleandBuda,TX.

A2003TexasSchoolPerformanceReviewauditrevealedthedistrictneededafundingmechanismtoreplacethemaintenancefleetandneededtodevelopanenergymanagementprogram.Aprogramwasapprovedbytheschoolboardtodivideanyelectricitysavingsdollarsasfollows:10percentreturnedtothecampus,15percentplacedinafundbalancetooffsetanyfutureelectricityrateincrease,25percenttofundmaintenancevehiclereplacement25percenttohirenewenergymanagementpersonnel,and25percenttofundenergymanagementprojects.

Allcampusesbuiltpriorto2002wouldbebudgetedforelectricityat2002/2003fiscalyeardollaramountattheparRcularcampus.Allcampusesbuiltafer2002arefundedat$1persquarefootforelectricity.Savingsarecalculatedfromthosetwofigures.

TheEnergyManagementTeambeganin2003withonecoilcleanerinaneveningmaintenanceprogram.Eveningmaintenancehasexpandedto13personnelandcoversallmaintenancetrades.TheEnergyManagementteamincludesthreecoilcleaners,oneDDCcontrolstechnicianandanenergymanagementsupervisor.

Maintenancevehiclefleetreplacedby2008,totaling$625,000.

$250,000returnedtothecampuses.

TheOklahomaDepartmentofCentralServices(DCS)OfficeofFaciliResManagement(OFM)isresponsiblefor2,264,307squarefeetofstate‐ownedbuildinginOklahomaCityandTulsa,aswellastheCapitolComplexparksandgrounds.

In2008,risingenergycostsandforecastedstategovernmentbudgetcutscalledforaneedtoimproveefficienciesinbuildingoperaRons.TheOFMEnergyunitwasestablishedtobenchmarkenergyconsumpRonanddevelopaconservaRonstrategy.

In2008,PNCFinancialServicesGroup(PNC),acquiredNaRonalCityCorporaRon.BringingNaRonalCityintothePNCfamilyrepresentedadoublingofthePNCfootprint,andanunprecedentedlevelofconversionacRvity,includingthemanufactureandinstallaRonofover26,000newsignscoveringapproximately1,640branches,ATMs,andoffice/administraRvefaciliRes,overninestates.

AmulR‐teamtaskforcewasmadeofPNCRealtyServicesstaff(allinhousepersonnel),andNaRonalCity'sFaciliResManagementteammemberswhichwereacombinaRonofin‐housemanagementandanaRonaloutsidefaciliResmanagementfirm.

Theconversionunfoldedinfourseparate,butconcurrentlystaggered,waves,witheachwavehandlingapproximately400sites.Ittookapproximately76weeksfromkickofftocompleRonofthelastwaveinJune2010.

TheFaciliResManagementDepartmentatWesternMichiganUniversity(WMU)inKalamazoo,MI,isresponsibleforapproximately8millionsquarefeetofuniversityspaceandmaintainsroughly1,200acres.

OverthecourseofseveralyearsFMhasconRnuouslyresearchednewandmoreefficientprocesses,productsandresourcesinordermaintainaposiRoninthemovementtowarda“greener”environment.

StarRngwiththedesignandconstrucRonoftheWMUParkviewCampusinthelate90s,WesternMichiganUniversityhasbeencommiNedtosustainability.
