Core Components - Cab
The cab is of a safety type with an aerodynamic shape and low in-cab noise level. The Cab shell is made of high strength steel. External panels are hot dip galvanized and treated with anti-rust protection. Wind def lectors are optional. Front underrun protection system is standard. Service points are accessible behind a hatch at the front of the cab. The cab tilt angle is 70º.
Cab Interior and Storage Facilities
The interior is upholstered in vinyl. The cab f loor is fitted with a complete rubber f loor carpet and loose rubber mats on the driver and passenger sides. The door panels h ave l o u d s p e a ke r s a n d s t o r a g e compartments. There are storage compartments in two separate sections above the windscreen, a radio shelf and document pocket on the centre console under the dashboard.
Cab Comfort and Climate
Sleeping area: The cab is equipped with a bunk size of 760 x 2000 x 160 mm. Upholstery is in vinyl finish. The cab is mounted on the chassis via a 4-point suspension system, which has coil springs and shock absorbers on the front and rear.
Air suspended Driver seat with integrated seat belt. Fixed passenger seat with seat belt.
Instruments and Controls
Day Cab
Sleeper Cab
The driver area is ergonomically designed with a good layout of the instruments and controls, which are easily accessible. The instruments are of the conventional type with gauges for oil pressure, voltage, coolant temperature, fuel, turbo pressure and brake pressure. A Driver Information System pro-vides updates on the vehicles’ performance levels and a fuel-economy meter indicates fuel consumption figures for the existing trip. Cruise control, steering wheel, steering column lock, manual rear view mirrors and window winders are standard.
