Federal & State Tax Exemption-one of the perks of nonprofit incorporation-apply for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with both the IRS and the appropriate state agency. Although it usually only involves board approval and filing a couple of forms

Overseen by the Board of Directors

The research activities are reviewed annually by the

Scientific Advisory Board, composed of internationally

prominent physicians and scientists.

The hospital’s daily operating costs are $2 million, which

are primarily covered by public contributions. St. Jude has

more than 3,600 employees.

What I learned: The greatest rewards in life are often not what

you think they will be.

Good leaders don’t spend much time thinking about their leadership they just execute it.

Formal education is necessary, but life experiences are priceless to support your learning.

You can work hard and not be perfect, but still be a good leader. Have a good laugh and not take yourself too seriously.
