DESCRIPTION
In his engaging and informative style, internationally recognized community engagement expert Adam Fletcher will discuss how and why parks and recreation advocates need to “infiltrate” government on all levels. This keynote will explore specific circumstances of professionals reaching across the aisles at work to build alliances, establish collaborations, and deepen interagency relationships in order to promote the mission of parks and recreation for all residents. In addition to examples from across the state, Fletcher will draw on his experience working across government and in the nonprofit section and highlight research-driven tools to use in any setting, particularly throughout the government. Fletcher will share engaging stories and meaningful data to highlight how and why we need to infiltrate our government.
