Geography
What type of land? Virginia has five regions- the Tidewater region, the
Piedmont region, the Valley and Ridge region, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the Appalachian Plateau. Virginia has mountains, hills, and flat land.
Where is it located? Virginia is bordered by Maryland, West Virginia,
Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, and the Chesapeake Bay.

Virginia became a state on June 25th, 1788. Virginia was one of the original Thirteen
Colonies Part of The Confederate States of America Richmond, VA, was the capital of the
Confederacy West VA split off of VA to join the Union
during the Civil War
What to do in Virginia
Day 1: On Day 1, we arrive in Richmond International Airport. We stay the night at the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond.
Day 2: On Day 2, we drive to Jamestown, the first permanent English settlement. Afterwards, we eat dinner at nearby Williamsburg, and stay the night at Great Wolf Lodge.
Day 3: On Day 3, we drive west and visit the Shenandoah Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains, and then we drive to Williamsburg International Airport and go home.
