Whistler Blackcomb Skiing and Snowboarding Tips

• Mountains are open between 8:30 and 3:30 most winter, give or take half an hour.

• Keep to the top of the Mountains, that’s where the better snow is. There’s a lot of terrain to cover, don’t waste your time below midstation, it’s not worth it.

• Bring your lunch if you’re on a budget, buying it will set you back at least $20 per day per person.

• Bring or buy water, just because it’s cold, you shouldn’t forget about drinking water or electrolytes.

• Don’t go out of bounds, there’s plenty of good terrain to ski in bound.

• Download from Midstation(s) at the end of the day, especially in the sping or if you are tired.

• Try to ski both Mountain on one of your days, taking the Peak to Peak Gondola is a treat, even if just for one day out of your stay. If you have patience, wait for the Goldola with the glass on the bottom.

Whistler Blackcomb Apres-Ski

As you can imagine, Whistler can accomodate any and every budget. There’s a wide variety of places to stay, so it’s up to you to get what you want. What we know to be true, is that a ski resort is wonderful if:

– You find a place with a hotub, it’s a great apres-ski activity and great for your muscles at the end of the day.

– Get a view, there’s nothing more spectacular that Whistler in the Winter.

– Plan to go out and enjoy Whistler Village and everything is has to offer, it’s small but it has everything for every budget.

– Take a day off skiing and linger in the Village, have a coffee, eat some chocolate, have a beverage, take a few pictures and make some new friends

– If you need gear, Whistler has some of the best gear in the World at great prices, you will find what you need.

Whistler Food

• Whistler is home to some of the best Restaurants in Canada

• There’s a wide variety of places to eat or to buy food, from budget minded to the finest palates, and everything in between.

• Our recommendation is to go have some sushi, it’s a very Whistler local thing to do.

Don’t Forget

• To enjoy yourself while you’re visiting. Don’t let the small things get to you, just treasure your time in this great little town.

• To ask for help when you need it, either to get around, or to find something you want or need.

• Don’t let the weather get you down, if it’s raining in the Village, it’s most likely snowing up top, so more snow for you to ski .

• Have Fun!
