BINTANG is probably the most comfortable of all surf boats in Sumatra due to the stability given by her heavy keel. With a length of 110 ft (33m) and a huge deck she is very spacious taking up to 12 guests in 4 cabins with air conditioning. There’s also a large salon with TV/DVD, 4 WCs, 2 tenders for the guests convenience (surfing, fishing, snorkeling, access to beaches, photos, etc.), fishing rods, SUP board, etc.She’s has 2 GPS units, radar, depth-sounder, VHF radio, portable radios, satellite phone, and all the safety equipment (buoys and life-jackets, life-raft, EPIRB, flares, fire-extinguishers and first-aid kit).Surfing photographer available (extra).

MELALEUCA is all about space and a great option in terms of price vs. quality. She was built in 2007 with 2 x 320 HP engines making her a safe boat. She is 80 ft long (24m) and takes 12 guests comfortably in 5 cabins with air conditioning. There’s also a large salon with TV/DVD, 2 WCs and several relaxing areas outdoors including shaded areas with hi-fi. Navigation equipment includes radar, depth-sounder, GPS, satellite phone, VHF/SSB radios, and all the safety gear (buoys and life-jackets, life-raft, EPIRB, flares, fire-extinguishers and first-aid kit).2 dinghies, fishing rods and snorkeling equipment are ready for the guests convinience.

ASIA is the best deal for a Mentawai boat-trip. The cheapest boat in Sumatra has 70 ft long (22 m) and 2 engines making her a fast and safe boat. She was completely renovated in 2014 and has two cabins with air conditioning (one for 8 guests and another one for 3 guests), large salon with TV/DVD, and 2 dinning tables (indoor and outdoor).She’s equiped with Radar, 2 GPS units, depth-sounder, VHF/SSB radios, portable radios, satellite phone, and all the safety gear (buoys and life-jackets, life-raft, EPIRB, flares, fire-extinguishers and first-aid kit).ASIA has 2 dinghies, fishing rods and snorkeling equipment for the guests convinience.

Our guide comes from Portugal where he started surfing on his early teens. For the last 15 years Gonçalo has been exploring Indonesian waves, knowing the best kept secrets at Mentawai, Telos, Hinako, Banyak and other less known islands. Throughout these years he guided on many different surfing boats, allowing him today to choose which boats and crews he likes and trusts.Gonçalo is a licensed Ocean Skipper making him the perfect guy to supervise the navigation and safety on board.Besides portuguese mother language he is fluent in english, french, spanish and in indonesian bahasa.He is also a great surfing photographer.
