Day 2 : Colombo- Pinnawala
Day 2: Colombo-Pinnawala-Dambulla
You will be visiting Pinnawala Elephant
Orphanage, a rendezvous for destitute
elephants – the one and only orphanage of this
type in the world.
Dambulla Cave Temple: Known as Golden
Temple of Dambulla, a World Heritage Site,
consisting of more than 80 caves containing
statues and paintings of Buddha, showing the
events of his life. You can see a total of 153
Buddha statues. Importantly there are 5 caves
– Cave of the Divine King; Cave of the Great
Kings; and the Great New Monastery. The
Buddhist statues are of varying sizes and
attitudes, located inside the shrine rooms.

Day 3 : Dambulla – Kandy

You will be visiting Kandy, a lovely exotic city,
another World Heritage Site. In this city is
located the renowned temple that enshrines the
Tooth Relic of the Buddha, as also the Royal
Botanical Gardens – home to one of the world’s
best collections of Orchids.
