Since many years, trek to the base camp of Annapurna Mountain has remained popular form
of trek for tourists willing to enjoy in Annapurna region. The complete trail proceeds with
spectacular views of rhododendron forests available in lush and green formats, terraced rice
paddies and landscapes of very high altitude with the views of famous Annapurna mountain
range for many times.
Overview on Annapurna Mountain Range and Trek
Annapurna base camp trek is present across remote yet traditional villages, which receive
greetings from many local people, while passing from lush yet green vegetations and
Himalayan mountains covered with snow and exclusive Annapurna mountain range.
History of Annapurna Mountain
James O.M (Jimmy), a British traveler was the first person, who invented the area and
mountain peak of Annapurna while his trekking in the region of Nepal. Later on, in the year
1956, Robert calls the region as Sanctuary of Gods. In addition, local area people have given
the name as Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, where Anna refers to the food, while Purna implies
enough.
Along with Nepalese, most of the people belonging to different countries worldwide call
Annapurna of Himalaya as Goddess for Harvest. Majority of Himalayan Rivers receives
water from glaciers of Annapurna Mountain, which further facilitate irrigation and thereby,
become bouncy enough for feeding humans and other living creatures.
Annapurna Trek
The complete setting of Annapurna base camp trek is at the height of 4130 meters, which is
incredibly spectacular and unique in nature. In addition, it remains set at the middle of famous
yet majestic Annapurna 1 Peak of 8091 meters height, southern Annapurna of 7219 meters,
Hiunchuli at 6441 meters and Machapuchhre at about 6993 meters. The complete trek
requires between 7 and 12 days based on chosen itinerary of travelers and total numbers of
days, for which travelers may walk easily.
