POPULATION PYRAMID YEAR 1983

There are more boys than girls.

The mortality rate is very high because they may be

some illnesses such as HIV/SIDA and malaria, also there was a lack of

freshwater so lots of people died from inhering

viruses in the water.

This pyramid shape is typical for underdeveloped countries.

As you can see, population is expressed in millions.

In 2013 Malaysia's male and female population were similar in number.

Female's standards of living are higher than male's ones

In Malaysia there are more boys from 0-4 years than girls

Population in 2013 will reach 100+ years because of the potability of water, advances in medicine and in technology as well.

Population in Malaysia has increased considerably in 30 years

Malaysia has experienced a rapid growth and its shape shows that it is now a developing country.

There are not deaths between 0-4 years and 45-49 years.

Life expectancy will be very high in women and high in men, because of new advances in medicine.

Malaysia is located at the South­East Asia. Malaysia has land borders with Thailand in West Malaysia, and Indonesia and Brunei in East Malaysia. 

Malaysia is located at the Equator so its climate is tropical.

Malaysia has a multi­ethnic population which plays a huge role in politics.

Malaysia's principal religion is Islam although Malaysia protects the freedom of religion.

Malaysia has plenty of freshwater resources.

Kuala Lumpur is the richest city of Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur is the capital and largest city of Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur and its surrounding urban areas, form the most industrialized and fastest growing region in Malaysia.

Tourism in Kuala Lumpur is the main source of incomes.

Kuala Lumpur is the sixth most visited city in the world, with 8.9 million tourist per year.

Kuala Lumpur has several Mosques around the city.

Not every thing is great in Malaysia. The slums are a squalid part of a city, inhabited by poor people it is full of rubbish and they are flooded, the importance of cleaning the slums is relevant throughout Asia since many countries there suffer from a lack of clean water as the slums do. Recently, issues have been discussed in Malaysia’s political agenda and the country is trying to improve the 8.4% of the population which does not have access to freshwater. The slums are full of unhygienic water but this area is being cleaned throughout different policies which have been proposed. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has been supporting policies and projects for improving it, such as conserving river basins., focusing on sustainable water use and conserving freshwater habitats.
