Hanoi

The capital City of Vietnam with a history of more than thousand years. The City features a great deal of attractions ranging from ancient temples, ancient citadels, unique theatres to many more.

Attractions

The original pagoda is believed to be built during the 6th century. It was later founded on the bank of the famous Red River by King Ly Nam De, It also considered as one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam.

Tran Quoc Pagoda

Hoe Nhai Pagoda

Founded by a Chinese Buddhist monk named Trong Dien in 1020. The interior of the pagoda is done by hardwood.

Water Puppet Theatre

Vietnam has been widely known for water puppetry. The history of the puppet shows dates back to 11th century. Most of the shows are about Vietnamese folk tales and legends. The performances are also accompanied by a Vietnamese orchestra.

Imperial Citadel of Thang Long

Imperial Citadel of Thang Long signifies the cultural and historical importance of Hanoi and is also a UNESCO heritage site. This ancient site has been the political centre of the country for 13 consecutive centuries.

Attractions

Was built by the emperor Ly Thai Tong. The original pagoda was destroyed during the war with the French. The present building is a replica built during 1954.

One Pillar Pagoda

Lien Phai Pagoda

A colorful multi tiered pagoda located among pleasant and tranquil gardens. The pagoda was founded during the 18th century by one of the Nguyen Lords .

AttractionsHoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son

Is also known as the Turtle Lake and is a central feature of Hanoi. The lake surrounds Ngoc Son temple which is located in an island. The pagoda was built during the 13th century in commutation of the military leader Tran Hung.

Ba Vi National Park

One of the most popular areas for the natural beauty of Vietnam. The park is centered around a 3 peaked mountain.

Hanoi Opera House

Built in 1911 the Hanoi opera house is the biggest theatre in Vietnam. The opera house features a range of events ranging from local Vietnamese opera, traditional folk music to many more.
