Lessons learned

1. Confront with challenges

Failures are part of succeeding. Looking back to failures and learning from them is part of the process. Robust measures are needed when it comes to non-transparency in financial and ethical issues.

2. Long-term plans (even up to 10 years)

Particularly considering thehighly remote areaof intervention.The establishment of community project is a process that requires time, patience, research, and constant monitoring and supports (e.g. capacity building).Clear impacts and sustainability on livelihood models are visible only in the long run.

Active engagement of stakeholders Clearer roles/responsibilitiesLocal resources and other external supports from stakeholders Recipients need to be part of the entire processWillingness to involve all concerned people openly
