Environment

• The environment of Rarotonga is like a deserted island on the beach is really nice. The inland is bushy and hilly. The ocean has lots of coral and fish.

Climate

• The wet season in Rarotonga is from December to March and the dry season is from April to November which is also the hurricane season. The temperature in the dry season is normally 25 degree Celsius and in the wet season it is 29 degrees Celsius.

Food

• The food at Rarotonga is very tasty and juicy like marinated fish. Most of the dishes have coconut in them. Many dishes are served with fruit. Pawpaw and a type of orange is always available. Most of the meat is imported from New Zealand such as beef. Kumara’s are grown in Rarotonga.

Tourism

• Some of the tourism things are Captain Tama’s glass bottom boat cruise, diving attractions, fishing trips over the reef and the island culture nights. Some reasons people go to Rarotonga are for weddings and holidays because of the warm temperatures all year. 7000 people live on the island. Most of these people are employed in tourism in the resorts or shops and the rest are retired.
