Established in 1949, Linssen is a thoroughly sound family business. The third generation of Linssens have now taken their first steps on the path taken by their parents and grandparents. The Linssen Grand Sturdy® ‘9’ series are exceptionally complete, arranged

for maximum convenience and comfort and offer superb value for money.

You will be astounded by all of the Grand Sturdy® ‘9’ series’ functional de-

tails, things that go to make life on board a joyful experience. The boats’

sailing characteristics are truly exceptional. Thanks to their unusual chine-

type hull, these boats are highly stable and their new shape below the

water line combined with the shape of the keel and the rudder, and the

rudder balance means that they are easy to pilot in reverse, even counter

to the propeller’s direction of rotation.

They are an excellent choice for first-time boat-owners, people with young families, who will surely appreciate the functional and comfort-able space on board.

But the Linssen Grand Sturdy® ‘9’ series are an equally excellent choice for

the experienced boat-owner! Indeed, older sailboat or motorboat owners

are often swept away by the boat’s modest dimensions and yet spacious

interior, where they will never lack the comfort and convenience to which

they are accustomed. On the contrary! The boats in the Linssen Grand

Sturdy® ‘9’ series are anything but fair-weather boats. They are not intimi-

dated by rough weather or by open water.

The interior design is a symbiosis of select American cherry wood, soft

beige colours, sweet-smelling beige leather, chrome and stainless steel

features and an elegant floor (a shade darker) with black striping. The

natural colours and materials create a positive ambience on board. The

doors, panels, ceilings and coving have matte black accent lines and de-

sign frames. We have christened the new Linssen ‘9’ style the FPS® (Float-

ing Panel System). The exceptional shading (the optically floating panels)

of the system put the ‘9’ series interior into a separate class...

The interior of the ‘9’ series comes standard with the Linssen styling sys-tem: the patented Floating Panel System (FPS® System).

What is the ‘je ne sais quoi’ that makes the ‘9’ series such a success? The

answer is as subtle as the interior itself: the interior design is neutral! The

designers had no intention of imposing a particular style on purchasers.

On the contrary. The basic design is so neutral that everyone, whether

young or old, can identify with it. Traditional or modern? Cool and elegant

or loud and flamboyant? Traditional nautical features or cutting-edge de-

sign? You can combine it all at will, and your unique ‘9’ series boat will be

Most models from the Grand Sturdy 9 series are available as AC (with aft cabin) or Sedan (with open cockpit). Both versions will appeal to you with their charm and unique features.

Sedan models have luxurious solid teak double doors, which can be opened and se-

cured at 180°. This means that while you are at the helm, you still have optimal con-

tact with the other voyagers in the saloon or the cockpit.

The Sedan models can also be supplied with the Linssen Variodeck. This large alu-

minium sliding roof means that while you are at the wheel inside, you still have a

feeling of the great outdoors.

In contrast, the AC models have a huge aft cabin with a double bed and toilet/sho-

wer*. There is a spacious aft deck with a folding roof as a standard feature. This offers

protection while you are at the helm outside. The aft deck offers excellent views of

the passing landscape. Each Grand Sturdy 40 ft and above is an imposing presence

with many hidden gems. From the 40.9 onwards, these yachts provide living space

for as many as eight people. The extra side cabin, with two single beds, is remarkably

spacious and has a lot of cupboard and drawer space.

The efficient layout of these yachts gives an unparalleled impression of space.

Each boat trip has a character all of its own. Once in a while everything is

peaceful and calm and at other times rough and changeable and some-

times you really have to make an effort to maintain a straight course.

The determining factor is always how you decide to travel! Preferably

on a boat that withstands the test of criticism, radiates inner peace and

The sturdy and yet elegant appearance of these models will draw admir-

ing glances in every marina you moor in. Each Grand Sturdy 40 ft and

above is an imposing presence with many hidden gems. From the 40.9

and a generously proportioned saloon with bench seating and a sepa-

VERY IMPRESSIVE ON THE INSIDE TOO.

Below the hatch in the open cockpit on the Sedan models you will find

a substantial amount of space in which to store bicycles or other luggage.

Lifting up the steps in the front of the boat will also give you access to

the unique “basement” which is so characteristic of the 9 Series. A num-

ber of optional variants increases the diversity of this series of yachts

even more.

Do you want a washing machine, dryer or dishwasher? Almost anything

is possible on the models above 40 ft. After all, you want all the com-

forts of home on board. For example, the optional self-seeking satellite

dish will ensure that you always have excellent reception, even while

under way.

JUST AS ON THE SMALLER 9 SERIES YACHTS, YOU WILL ALSO FIND ALL THE NECESSARY CONNECTIONS FOR MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT*.

The Grand Sturdy 9 series Sedan is also available with a long-top, an extended saloon roof over the open cockpit.

This means that you can enjoy the outside air while still being shel-

tered. Thanks to the extended roof – provided with an upholstered

ceiling and dimmable lighting – the cockpit becomes a cosy living

area in addition to the saloon, which means you have even more

living space.

Since the introduction in 2004, the Linssen Grand Sturdy 9 series has

been a great success. The yachts from the 9 series are spacious yachts

with more living space and comfort on board than comparable yachts.

THANKS TO THE WELL DEVELOPED LAYOUTS AND VARIOUS VARIANTS, THIS IS THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE RANGE OF STEEL YACHTS IN EU-ROPE! AND THIS SERIES IS NOW EVEN MORE EXTENSIVE.

The series is being extended with the Grand Sturdy 52.9 AC (16.30 x 5.13

x 1.30 m) and 58.9 AC (17.80 x 5.13 x 1.30 m) and will be available with the

Linssen-Variotop® or the Linssen-Wheelhouse. They will have a unique

layout, with a spacious front and aft cabin with double bed, toilet and

shower and a mid-cabin with two single beds or a double bed. The di-

nette and U-shaped galley is located between saloon and aft cabin,

where large windows ensure ample light.

The spacious saloon with large L-shaped sofa, seats and spacious cabi-

nets offers all the comfort you could wish for.

Both the Sedan and the AC from the Linssen 9 Series are equipped with

the EASY SLEEP CONVERT SYSTEM. This system enables you to convert

the saloon bench seat into a full-size double bed in no time at all.

By simply removing the saloon table and cushions, you can pull the set-

tee out, and a slatted base appears automatically. Replace the cushions

again to create a comfortable bed for two people.

THE WAY IN WHICH A DINGHY IS ATTACHED TO A MOTOR YACHT IS NOT USUALLY VERY STYLISH. MOSTLY, PEOPLE COBBLE TOGETHER A MAKE-SHIFT SOLUTION, E.G. THE DINGHY IS EITHER TOO BIG OR TOO HEAVY. ALTHOUGH A DINGHY HAS MANY PRACTICAL BENEFITS, IT OFTEN GETS IN THE WAY.

That’s why you should first ask yourself “WHAT EXACTLY DO I WANT TO USE MY DINGHY FOR?”

Mostly, dinghies are used for practical purposes, e.g., for a trip to the

village to get some breakfast, to inspect the mooring or anchor line or

to clean the hull of your yacht.

Obviously, the choice of a dinghy is largely dictated by the physical

conditions. To prevent this choice from resulting in disappointment, we

state specifically where the (physical) boundary lies in the relationship

between the dinghy and the mother ship.

The details of each Linssen yacht will determine the final image of your proud possession. A possession supported by a good name and reputa-tion. Linssen Yachts underpins its name and reputation by providing a highly advanced level of after-sales service. However, this is only pos-sible because Linssen Yachts supplies a mature product.

Despite all that we say in our brochure(s) and all our sincere good inten-

tions, things can go wrong even with a Linssen or a breakdown can occur.

It would not be realistic to deny this. Nowadays a luxury motor yacht is a

complex technical unit. But if you experience a technical defect or break-

down, you will really get to know the people at Linssen Yachts.

Still, “worth more” and “added value” may be more subtle concepts than

they first appear. We venture to state in all modesty that Linssen Yachts

is the market leader in its segment. We have achieved this by being self-

critical and setting very high standards for ourselves. Because of this a

certain innovative power arose ‘of its own’ accord which has often made

us trend-setters.

But it also comes from the lesson we learned from Jac. Linssen Senior, who always drummed into us: “… try to give your customer a bit more than you promised him. Then the relationship will never break up…”.
