The Rashtrapati Bhavan stables that once housed ceremonial coaches and horses now tells the story ofIndia’s presidential history through a series of audio-visual installations and more traditional displays of

photographs, memorabilia, and other items from India’s recent past.

The exhibits include designs from Sir Edwin Lutyens, the architect who planned New Delhi during the British

colonial era in India, memorabilia from various presidents’ body guards, and 19th century paintings. Gifts

presented to the presidents of India by foreign officials and dignitaries are also on display inside the museum.

The Rashtrapati Bhavan Musuem is open Friday through Sunday.
