Caves

The Batu Caves are situated 13 kilometers north of the capital city Kuala Lumpur. There are three main cave The caves are made of limestone and 400 meters long and 100 meter high. Once a year they celebrate the Thaipusam festival in the Batu Caves.The cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, and is dedicated to Lord Murugan.

Niah Caves, a limestone cave and archeological site made up of several voluminous chambers with high ceilings. The caves are also well known for the birds' nest (Swiftlet) industry.
