Our StoryIt all started in the year 2000, when Mr. Suresh K Lalgee and his wife Mrs. Bharti Kanani both from the United Kingdom, visited Dubai on a holiday and fell in love with the city. They were walking down Dubai’s famous creek when they decided to rent a dhow and bring down a group of their close friends and family to celebrate their wedding anniversary; thus started their business venture into Dubai and the tourism industry.

RIKKS CRUISES & VENUS CRUISESThe cruise division, Rikks Cruises (trading name Rikks Floating Restaurant LLC) & Venus Cruises (trading name Venus Floating Restaurant LLC) made a humble beginning with one dhow boat. Today it owns seven dhows, a modern glass boat and a yacht to cater to multiple requirements, budgets and group sizes; from an intimate gathering of less than ten people to a small group of 25 persons, or a even large event of 200 plus passengers.The six dhows are �nished in a traditional Arabic style but with modern conveniences. Each of these is unique and distinctive in its own way. ‘MV Dolphin’ is the largest dhow that can seat up to 150 persons. Seating is divided between an air-conditioned lower deck o�ering full creek views and an open-air upper deck.‘Pride of Dubai’ is luxuriously �nished with intricate detailing on the exterior and interior. The second largest dhow has a capacity of 120 seated passengers. ‘Hazza’ the third dhow, is perfect for smaller groups who want to hire the boat exclusively for up to 80 seated passengers. ‘Venus’ the fourth dhow is a masterpiece with traditional Arabic structure, look and feel, can accommodate 70 seated passengers.‘Pearl Dubai’ is the smallest but most precious dhow, is especially designed for the Day trips for a maximum of 35 passengers, as well as Honeymooners who want privacy, beauty and romance.‘Nia 2’ is a brand new and magni�cent addition to our family of dhows. It has a capacity of approximately 150 passengers.‘Khaleesi’ is our unique and transparent glass boat which stands-out at the Dubai Marina.‘Nia 1’ is a modern luxury speed-boat ideal for �shing and thrilling adventures at Dubai Marina.

NORTH TOURS LLCIn response to the ever increasing demand from tour operators and corporate houses to o�er more than the regular dhow cruise, North Tours LLC, was established in 2004 initially focusing only on the operation of tours and safaris. Gradually expanding its umbrella to cover all aspects of the destination management business, today North Tours is a one-stop shop providing comprehensive travel services in Dubai to the incoming tourist-hotel bookings, visa processing, arrival and departure transfers and tours and safaris among others. Tailor-made and exclusive options for individuals, leisure groups and incentive movements are available as well. With the aim of maintaining a competitive edge and quality standards, North Tours has invested heavily in its own infrastructure. The company owns its own �eet of Toyota Land cruisers and coaches all meticulously maintained with the ability to outsource additional resources when required. In 2009 North Tours was presented with an o�er to purchase ‘Desert Rangers LLC’ (an already established Adventure Tours service provider. In order to provide a broader range of services to clients:

DESERT RANGERS TRAVEL & TOURISM LLC was bought by North Tours LLC to supply more adventurous activities such as sand skiing, dune buggy self drives and quad-biking as well as options for overnight camping for our clients. Full time �eld sta� including guides and drivers are client friendly, experienced and most importantly, approved by DTCM.

Having its own desert campsites make way for a seamless service and the capability to host almost any type of event in the desert. Both camps are designed in a traditional Arabic Bedouin style, have covered and open-air seating areas, bar, sheesha corner, dance �oor and full sound and light equipment. Each of these campsites can comfortably accommo-date 450 guests. A third campsite with a capacity of 1,500 guests has majlis-style conference facilities, an air-conditioned area and a permanent structure for overnight stays.

In 2006, both companies received the ‘ISO 9001 – 2000’ accreditation in recognition of our quality standards and safety practices. Over the past three years, we have consistently met stringent auditing requirements and have now been approved for the ‘ISO 9001 – 2008’ recerti�cation.
