and snowboarding enthusiast. His favorite snowboarding destination is Washington’s Mt. Baker due to the mountain’s ample snowfall. In one recent year, Shawn Boday snowboarded at Mt. Baker every day for 55 consecutive days.

Mt. Baker is part of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, west of the Cascade Range and east of Seattle. The forest offers visitors the opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy outdoor activities suited for all skill levels. Visitors can enjoy hikes, fishing, water activities, and snow sports.

Mt. Baker The Mt. Baker Ski area, which holds an operating

permit from the U.S. Forest Service, offers skiing and snowboarding. Each year, Mt. Baker gets over 500 inches of snow, with some years of snowfall topping out over 800 inches.

Mt. Baker is an active volcano that features a perpetual snowcap and many glaciers. In addition to skiing and snowboarding on Mt. Baker, visitors experienced in technical glacier climbs and crevasse rescue can ascend the mountain, which has an elevation of 10,781 feet.
