Its geographical location enables Morocco to be a preferred road for submarine telecom cables that connect Europe to Africa.

Morocco is linked to more than 70 000 Km of submarine cables offering a flow rate superior to 4 terabits/sec.

The latest cable implemented was the Africa Gate linking Morocco to Spain. This cable is 2520 km long and has a capacity of 400 Gbps.

The development of the outsourcing sector is one of the pillars of the Emergence program designed to promote seven key industrial sectors of the Moroccan economy.

Two of these business parks are currently operative : Casanerashore in Casablanca and Technopolis in Rabat.This entire project was initiated by the government through the creation of a dedicated company called Medz, a subsidiary of CDG (Caisse des Dépôts et Gestion), for long the main instrument of the country for the implementation of national economic programs.

In 2011, the Offshoring and Technologies department of Medz became Medz Sourcing. This subsidiary has been from then on fully dedicated to the development of the Offshoring Business Parks in Morocco with one objective in mind : becoming the Mediterranean leader in the outsourcing business by 2015.
