1) Tourism: The attractions in MBS attracts tourists to visit which boost the economic of tourism due to consumerism, where tourists came to Singapore to spend money in Casinos and also through shopping.

2) Economic Growth: With more attractions such as shops, Casinos and others, this increase the economic in Singapore as more people came to Singapore to spend their money which on the other hand help Singapore boost its economy through consumerism.

3) Foreign Investments: There are a lot of international brands found in the shopping mall in MBS such as Chanel, Gucci, LV, Prada, Dior, Adidas, Armani and Swatch. These shows that there are many countries that are willing to invest into our economy. They believe that they will make money through the Singapore economy. This makes us go through industrialisation and globalisation with is essential in our country.

4) Raise image of Singapore: This let the other tourists, as well as, the foreign investors have good impressions on Singapore as a First World Country.

Also, with all these attractions and luxury, there is service and retail in Singapore. However; on the other hand, the social costs, similarly, the consequences are unbearable. For example, this increase the number of gamblers in Singapore which is also a disadvantage and a lost to the society.
