Estepona Golf

 

The 18 hole course, which is located on the inland side of the main coastal road at Km. 150, just one mile from Esteponatown centre, it was designed by José Luis López and first opened in 1989.

The design uses the natural landscape which is set against the Sierra Bermeja mountain range, and enjoys sea viewsfrom most parts of the course.

The fairways are wide and the greens large which provides a challenge for players of all levels, but doesn’t penalize theaverage golfer.

There are many palms, eucalyptus and wild olive trees on the course, and players have a great opportunity to enjoy manyrare species of wildlife, particularly on the second half.

Los Arqueros Golf and Country Club

 

Los Arqueros Golf is a mixed course situated less than an hour from the international airports of Málaga and Gibraltar,and only 10 minutes from Marbella. It was the first golf course to be designed by Severiano Ballesteros. As the designerhimself says, Los Arqueros is a good course for players of all kinds – a reasonable challenge for the average golfer and atough test for professionals.

Miraflores Golf

Miraflores Golf has been a favourite here since the early 90′s, it offers very good value to golfers all year round. I find it tobe one of the nicest for views too.

They have a superb driving range with two tiered practise area both undercover. This is a must if you want to practicewhen the sun is beating down overhead.

The golf academy also has it’s own bar and pro shop separate to the club.

There is wonderful clubhouse with an excellent well stocked restaurant that offers a range of quality live entertainment 4nights of the week.

Down stairs you will find the terrace bar. It’s a  great place for a cool drink after your golf.

Their signature hole is the 15th par 3. It is only 121 meters long, but the green is surrounded by water, so a good highshot is needed. Hit it short, long, left or right and you will be off to the bag to get a new ball.
