Livvy’s Location Recce

This is a picture of the front of my house. It is a semi-detached house that is almost identical the rest of the houses in the road – this would fit what we are trying to achieve as we are aiming to create a general lifestyle and environment that most families can relate to. Therefore, by filming in a very typical road; overcrowded, small and busy, we would be able create the average and common lifestyle that most people can familiarise with.

This is an image from my driveway showing one angle of the road. This image shows a different style of houses and a nice part to the street. This is a very common thing in a road, having a few different styles of houses but in bulk – therefore this would be a good representation of a general housing estate.

This is an image from my driveway showing the other angle of the road. This image again shows a different style of house in a long terrace – this is the most unattractive part of the street. This implies that there is a variety of social classes which is very true to the general housing estate.What we don’t see from these images is the houses opposite and surrounding that are identical to mine, as these images are just of the surrounding area, showing that is a family estate and therefore would fit with our storyline.

This shot of my dining room shows that our idea of using a dolly shot around the dining room table would work because it is round. The layout of the dining room and the rest of the house would be practical for our desired shots and camera techniques.

This shot of my living room shows that our idea of the variety of shots when the police officers break the news to Carol would be successful because of the layout of the room and the surfaces available and the camera positioning seems possible.
