WHAT’S THIS ALL ABOUT?Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia and is Asia’s green capital due to its lack of populace and the fact nature often comes into close contact with the city as monkeys go close to skyscrapers and so on.

Kuala Lumpur is a meeting point of cultures with the diverse Malay, Chinese and Indian cultures coming together to live in harmony. The streets are lined with a collection of mosques, Buddhist temples and Hindu shrines. Various festivals are celebrated throughout the year including Aidilfitri, Mooncake Festival and Deepavali.

The city has never had a clear design with buildings around Merdeka Square showing influences from across the British Empire, alongside modern landmarks such as the Kuala Lumper Tower.

CLOTHING

Kuala Lumpur’s tropical climate means it is best to wear lightweight, cotton clothes such as shorts and T-shirts for a comfortable visit.

Sun glasses and sun cream should also be packed to protect from the bright sun.

If you are planning on visiting during a wet season, make sure to bring with you suitable waterproof clothing as only an umbrella may not be enough during the heavy downfalls.
