Tourist (TR) and Transit Visa (TS)TOURIST VISA
1. This type of VISA issues to Foreigner whom travel to Kingdom of Thailand for
Tourist reason only.
2. VISA Validate Period: 3 Months or 6 Months (90-180 Days)
3. VISA Fee: 1,000 Thai Baht
4. Period of Stay (Per Entry): 60 Days
Tourist Visa Exemption
1. Foreigner passport holders from 41 countries and 1 special administrative
region - Hong Kong SAR - are not required to obtain a visa when entering
Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a
period not exceeding 30 days on each visit.
Sample: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bahrain, Brunei, Denmark, Finland,
France, Norway, Philippines, Portuguese, Singapore, Sweden,
United State of America, United Kingdom, etc.
Tourist (TR) and Transit Visa (TS)
TRANSIT VISA
1. This type of VISA issues to Foreigner whom travel to Kingdom of Thailand
regarding to following reason:
- Transit / Transfer Flight (VISA.Code TS )
- Sport (VISA.Code S )
- Vehicle Controllers / Crews (VISA.Code C)
2. VISA Validate Period: 3 Months
3. VISA Fee: 800 Thai Baht
4. Period of Stay (Per Entry): 30 Days
Diplomatic (D) VisaDiplomatic (D) VISA
1. This type of VISA issues to diplomatic or official passport-holders who wish to
assume duties at a foreign Diplomatic Mission or Consulate or International
Organization in the Kingdom and to their family members intention of working.
2. VISA Validate Period: 6 Months or longer (depend on period of mission in the
Kingdom).
3. VISA Fee: No Fee.
Education (ED) VisaEducation (ED) VISA
1. This type of VISA issues to Foreigner whom travel to Kingdom of Thailand to
come on a work study tour or observation tour, to participate in projects or
seminars, to attend a conference or training course, to study as a foreign
Buddhist monk.
2. VISA Validate Period: 3 Months or longer (depend on period of mission in the
Kingdom).
3. VISA Fee: 2,400 Thai Baht.
4. Period of Stay: Holder of this type of visa is entitled to stay in Thailand for a
maximum period of 90 days. He or she may apply for an extension of stay at
the Office of the Immigration Bureau and may be granted such extension for a
period of one year from the date of first entry into Thailand.
5. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Two year visa history of the student now required (currently only required
for applications submitted in Bangkok.
2. Extra documents required, Proof of income. (to see if the student can
support themselves and not work illegally), Reason for long stay in Thailand, if
extended time in Thailand prior to application. ( to check the student is not just
a visa runner who cannot get any more tourists visas.)

following types of visas:
• Non-Immigrant Visa "B" (for Business
and Work)
• Three-year Non-Immigrant Visa "B"
(for Business only)
• Non-Immigrant Visa "O-A" (Long Stay)

Non-Immigrant Visa (B : Three Years)
2. Three-year Non-Immigrant Visa "B" (for
Business only) Foreign citizen who wishes to visit Thailand for
business purpose may apply for a three-year Non-
Immigrant Visa “B”. This type of visa may be issued
to businessmen for multiple-entries and is valid for 3
years. It allows holder to visit Thailand as often as
required for as long as the visa remains valid and
allows holder to stay in Thailand for a period of not
exceeding 90 days during each visit. Employment of
any kind is strictly prohibited for holder of such visa.
Basic documents1. An application form completed in full and signed by
applicant.
2. A passport valid for travelling to Thailand with sufficient
remaining validity.
3. Two passport-sized photographs (4x6cm) taken within
the previous 6 months.
Visa fee
- The fee is 10,000 Baht.
Non-Immigrant Visa (O)
• Others VISA (O)
1. This type of VISA issues to Foreigner whom travel to Kingdom of Thailand regarding to following reason:
• Non-Immigrant Visa "O" - Voluntary Services
• Non-Immigrant Visa "O" - Accompanying spouse/family members
• Non-Immigrant Visa "O" - Accompanying Thai spouse/family members
2. VISA Validate Period: 6 Months
3. VISA Fee: 80 $US (or 2,400 Thai Baht) for Single Entry
200 $US (or 6,000 Thai Baht) for Multiple Entry
4. Period of Stay (Per Entry): maximum period of 90 days.
3. Non-Immigrant Visa "O-A" (Long Stay)This type of visa may be issued to applicants aged 50
years and over who wish to stay in Thailand for a
period of not exceeding 1 year without the intention
of working.
Holder of this type of visa is allowed to stay in
Thailand for 1 year. Employment of any kind is
strictly prohibited.
Eligibility
1.1 Applicant must be aged 50 years and over (on the day
of submitting application).
1.2 Applicant not prohibited from entering the Kingdom
as provided by the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979).
1.3 Having no criminal record in Thailand and the country
of the applicant’s nationality or residence.
1.4 Having the nationality of or permanent residence in
the country where application is submitted.
1.5 Not having prohibitive diseases as indicated in the
Ministerial Regulation No. 14 B.E. 2535.
1.6 Employment in Thailand is prohibited.

Qualification of the eligible applicant to be considered for
residential permit:
» Holds 3 or More consecutive Years of Non-Immigration Visa (1
Year)
» The applicant must reveal information on his/her income,
assets, knowledge, vocational ability, and family status in
terms of connection with Thai national conditions on national
security or others as deem appropriate for the consideration.
» The applicant must be able to understand and speak Thai
language.

3.1 Qualification of applicant for investment
reason;
• 3.1.1 The applicant must brought-in at least
Baht 10 million to invest in the Kingdom and
this must be certified with a letter issued by
the commercial bank in Thailand which reveals
evidence of financial remittance into Thailand
and
• 3.1.2 Investment made by the applicant must
be of an interest of national economy in either
one or collective nature as follows:
• 1) Investment made in a limited company or
public company or
• 2) Purchase of state-issued security or state
enterprise’s security
• 3) Investment in the stock market such as
ordinary share, bond, preference share or
investment unit etc.

3.1 Qualification of applicant for investment
reason; (cont.)
• 3.1.3 By the end of September of each year,
foreign national who was granted with
residential permit must submit documentary
evidence of one’s investment acquisition to the
Immigration Commission or the authorized
official. This has to be done for 3 consecutive
years starting from the day the residential
permit is granted.
• 3.1.4 If the investigation reveals later that any
foreign national who was granted with
residential permit lacks of qualification as
stipulated by the Immigration Commission
then the Committee and Secretary of the
Immigration Commission will report such
circumstance to the Immigration Commission
and propose an opinion to the Minister of
Interior to revoke such permit.

3.2 Qualification of applicant who wishes to
work in the Kingdom;
• 3.2.1 The applicant has to be in a position of
executive officer such as President of
Committee or Committee of juristic person
registered in Thailand with a capital of at least
Baht 10 million and is authorized as a signatory
for such juristic person, up to the date of
application submission, for at least 1 year.
• The applicant must earn at least Baht 50,000
per month, up to the date of application
submission, for a period of 2 consecutive years
as minimum and tax return is required and

3.2 Qualification of applicant who wishes to
work in the Kingdom; (cont.)
• 3.2.2 The business in which the applicant
works must be of an interest of national
economy i.e.
• 1) International commerce where its export
value in foreign currency in the past 3 years
reached a threshold of Baht 20 million in
average.
• 2) Tourism related business which in the past 3
years has brought into this country, at least
5,000 tourists in average. This fact must be
certified by the letter issued by the authority
concerned or
• 3) Other type of business that the applicant is a
shareholder of at least Baht 5 million for a
period of at least 2 years up to the date of
application submission.

3.2 Qualification of applicant who wishes to
work in the Kingdom; (cont.)
• 3.2.3 In case where the applicant lacks of any
qualification as mentioned in 3.2.1 and 3.2.2
then the following requirement is applied.
• 1) Be a holder of work permit for at least 3
consecutive years up to the date of application
submission and
• 2) Have been working in the current company
for at least 1 year, up to the date of application
submission and
• 3) Earn annual income at least Baht 80,000
per month for a period of at least 2 years, up to
the date of application submission, or have
been filing tax return for the amount of annual
income of Baht 100,000 for at least 2
consecutive years, up to the date of application
submission.

3.4 Qualification of applicant who applied as
expert.
• 1) Graduated at least Bachelor Degree and
possesses special ability that is needed
and benefit to this country and
• 2) Be supported and officially certified by
the authority concerned and
• 3) Certifying letter pertaining to the
applicant’s service in such position
indicating, up to the date of application
submission, a period of at least 3
consecutive years in the service is
required

3.5 Qualification of applicant on extra
circumstances to be considered on a case by
case basis
• 1) An individual who produces benefit to
the Kingdom of Thailand or Thai
Government or was selected by a national
institute as the one whose performance
causes benefit to this country or perform
for the authority and
• 2) Certified in a form of letter by at least
departmental authority or governor or
civilian official of at least level 10 or
military officer who/whom according to
the constitutional laws. Detail of the
applicant’s work is required to be
furnished or,
