Intercultural Education: Recommended Reading

The Intercultural Press publishes many terrific books that skillfully blend academic research, theory and practical advice, so these books are concrete and specific, but also well grounded in thorough research. They offer great advice on everything from coping with culture shock, to understanding people from other cultures, to developing the traits and skills necessary to comfortably and successfully communicate cross-

culturally. The list below includes titles reviewed during the revision of the Intercultural Education component of this Revised World Travel 101 Tool Kit. In addition, the Peace Corps has developed

several resources on cross-cultural communication, all available on the web. Portions of the Intercultural Education component of this presentation were based, with permission, on Peace Corps materials. All of
