oportunity to taste their wines while

enjoying a selection of regional tapas.

Duration 2 hrs approx.

Day 1

Drive to Granada (1h and 15 minutes)

Moorish heritage - Granada is the

essence of poetry. Federico Garcia

Lorca, the universal Granada writer,

immortalised his city in his art. Once

visited, it is not difficult to understand

the well-known verse, which reads:

"There is nothing like the pain of being

blind in Granada".

This fabulous city preserves all the

enchantment and mystery of eight

centuries of Moorish occupation, which

lasted until the re-conquest by Catholic

Kings in 1492.

The Alhambra, a castle complex of

worldwide fame, they say it's the eight'

miracle of the world!

Day 1

Check-in at Hotel Hospes Palacio de los Patos,

5* deluxe

http://www.hospes.com/granada-

palacio_patos/default-en.html

Hospes Palacio de los Patos represents a

suggestive combination of two buildings

that look at each other with complicity:

The Patos Palace, a looked after

conversion of a 19th Century palace, with

classical and industrial architecture, and

proclaimed of Cultural interest by

UNESCO, and a new building, with a

mixture of deepness and clarity behind a

majestic and subtle alabaster latticework.

The Palacio offers 22 rooms with

contemporary design while conserving the

original décor of this historic property. The

new building offers 20 rooms also all

decorated in contemporary design.

The hotel spa includes a sauna, Turkish

bath and indoor pool. Massage and various

beauty treatments are available. The

hotel’s Senzone Restaurant serves healthy

cuisine, using only fresh ingredients.

Day 1 – evening

20.00h visit to Alhambra in exclusivity

Duration 1,5 hours, with english

speaking guide and audiophone

It was originally constructed as a small

fortress in 889 and then largely ignored

until its ruins were renovated and rebuilt

in the mid-11th century by the Moorish

emir of the Emirate of Granada, who built

its current palace and walls. It was

converted into a royal palace in 1333 by

the Sultan of Granada.

Alhambra was extended by the different

Muslim rulers who lived in the complex.

However, each new section that was

added followed the consistent theme of

"paradise on earth". Column arcades,

fountains with running water, and

reflecting pools were used to add to the

aesthetic and functional complexity.

Day 1 – evening

Dinner at Restaurant Alacena de Las Monjas

Located at city centre of town. Enjoy typical

spanish tapas in their former cellar!

Afterwards experience the temperament of

Andalucia

With your very own private function at

Venta El Gallo!

Feel free to join in!

Day 2

After breakfast check-out and drive to Málaga

(1h 30 min.)

Málaga's history spans about 2,800

years, making it one of the oldest cities

in the world.

This important cultural infrastructure

and the artistic heritage have

culminated in the nomination of Málaga

as a candidate for the 2016 European

Capital of Culture. The internationally

acclaimed painter and sculptor Pablo

Picasso, Hebrew poet and Jewish

philosopher Solomon Ibn Gabirol and

actor Antonio Banderas were born in

Málaga.

Day 2

The old historic centre of Málaga reaches

the harbour to the south and is

surrounded by mountains to the north.

The Moors left posterity the dominating

presence of the Castle of Gibralfaro,

which is connected to the Alcazaba, the

lower fortress and royal residence. Both

were built during the Taifa period (11th

century) and extended during the Nasrid

period (13th and 14th centuries).

We will visit the cathedral of Málaga,

constructed between 1528 and 1782 and

was planned with Renaissance

architectural ideals but there was a

shortfall of building funds and it was

finished in Baroque style. Although it was

never finished as the second bell tower is

still missing today.

And also we see the Roman theatre,

which dates from the 1st century BC and

was rediscovered in 1951.

Day 2

Next we visit the Automobile Museum

(private visit, closed to the public)

The Tabacalera is a spectacular building,

a former tobacco factory in 1923 and

appears to have been made to receive

and evaluate this set of over 94 vehicles,

unpublished works of contemporary art,

sculptures and installations designed from

parts of the motor world.

A fantastic combination of history, art and

culture.

An extraordinary collection, presented

in thematic areas that describe the

different styles that characterize the

evolution of twentieth century art.

dressed according to the area will make the

experience even more enjoyable!
