Our Home at Pine Point

Beginning of the short path from Tehri Road to Pine Point

Formerly owned by the Society of Friends (Quakers), Pine Point now belongs to the Emmanuel family.

The motorbike sleeps where the path ends and the stairs begin.

The final five steps

Ours is the downstairs flat. The 2 apartments upstairs are rented by Woodstock School for staff.

This and the following following pictures show our front yard and some of our views from the yard.

We can see part of the city of Dehradun, 4000' below us in the Doon Valley. Beyond the valley are the Siwalik Mountains.

The living room is the centre of our home, with doors to the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.

The door in the centre leads to our bedroom, the doorway on the left is to the kitchen.

Our front door is on the right, bedroom door on the left.

Our dining table is between the kitchen door on the right and bathroom door on the left.

There's another identical window to the right of the bed.

We have room for an Indian built LG washing machine in the bathroom.

Our “bonus” room, off the kitchen. A desk will go below the window, and we'll arrange a bed here when we have guests. This is also where we will store our things until we retuurn in October.
