Hastinapur or Hastinapuram - (Sanskrit) Hastin (elephant) and puram (city) is a city which might have been named so because of the existence of a huge number of elephants in the forests adjoining this place there is an another interpretation states that this region was ruled by a king ‘Hastin’ of ‘Kuru Vansha’. It is located on the right bank of an old bed of the Ganga, known in literature and tradition as the capital of the Kauravas of the Mahabharata epic. Three Jaina tirthankaras, Sailtinatha, Kunthunatha and Aranatha, are also believed to have been associated with Hastinapura.

Jambudweep Jain Temple is a marvelous sculpture structure of Jain Geography which has been constructed with white and coloured marble stones. The premises has various Jain temples as follow.

Sumeru Parvat - Jambudweep Jain Temple
Sumeru Parvat (Mountain) is located at the middle of Jambudweep which is 101 ft. high made of light pink marble.

Lotus Temple or Kamal Mandir - Jambudweep Jain Temple
It is a small temple in the courtyard of Jambudweep. It is a House of Worship, popularly known as the Lotus Temple or Kamal Mandir, is a Jain House of Worship and also a prominent attraction in Hastinapur. It was completed in 1989.

Teen Murti Mandir -Jambudweep Jain Temple
The Teen Murthy Mandir is a 5 feet high white coloured marble idol of Lord Adinath in Kayotsarga is consecrated in the main vedhi, this idol is flanked by the idols of Bharat and Bahubali on its right and left respectively. Around 5 feet high black coloured idols of Lord Neminath and Parshwanath in padmasana are installed on the right and left vedhis flanking the main vedhi. Idols of Dharanendra Yaksha and Padmavathi Yakshi; Gomukha Yaksha and Chakreshwari Yakshi, Kshetrapala; Acharya Adisagarji and Acharya Shanthisagarji can also be found at this temple.

Astapad Jain Temple
It is the tallest (151 ft (46 m)) brick structure. The entire structure has four entrances and built over eight floors (ground + seven) are very huge and at the seventh floor there is a temple dedicated to Lord Adinath.

Shri Kailash Parvat Jain Temple
Kailash parvat is known as the place of salvation of Lord Adinath. This temple consists of a group of 72 small temples and a main temple. The 72 temples are dedicated to the trikala Tirthankaras i.e. the Tirthankaras belonging to all the three periods (past, present and future).

Pandaveshwar Temple
Old Pandeshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and assumed as 7000 years old . A statue of Goddess Kali and many Hindu Ashrams are also present on hillock of ruins.

Karna Temple
Karna temple 5000 B.C. lies on the bank of old ravine of Ganges. The Shivling inside Karna temple is said to be established by Karna, one of the central figure in the epic of Mahabharata.

Draupadi Ghat
On the bank of the Budhi Ganga, two places known as Draupadi Ghat and Kama Ghat remind one of the Mahabharata personages.

Birth place of Panch Pyare Bhai Dharam Singh
There is a small Gurdwara located in a village Saifpur, about 2.5 km (1.6 mi) away from Hastinapur. Bhai Dharam Singh (1666–1708) was one of the Panj Pyare (Punjabi) or the Five Beloved, the forerunners of Khalsa. He was born here and the son of Bhai Sant Ram of this village Saifpur.

Hastinapur Sanctuary
The Hastinapur Sanctuary sprawling in an area of 2073 km2 and it was founded in 1986, in Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bijnore and Jyotiba Phule Nagar.The population of the wild animals includes various species of animals including antelope, sambhar, cheetal, blue bull, leopard, hyena, wild cat, and different types of birds. It is also houses of alligators.
•Mammals – Leopard, Wild Cats, Monkey, Fox, Wolf, Jackals, Mongoose, Bijju, Deers, Wild Hogs, Hares/Rabbits, Musk-Rats and Bats etc inhabit the Sanctuary prolifically.
•Amphibians /Reptiles – Turtles, Python, Cobra Krait and viper are found in large numbers in the region. Crocodiles are also commonly found.
•Birds – Brown Partridges, Black Partridge, Quail, Peacock , Pigeon, Falcons and Hawks, Spotted Bill, Cranes, Eagles, Owls, White Vulture, Cuckoo and Nightingales. Kingfishers, Mynahs, Red-Vented Bulbuls, Sparrows, Baya etc are found in abundance in the region.
