The nativity scene in this 12th-century stained-glass work, at the Basilica of St. Denis in Paris

Cologne Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church, the seat of the Archbishop of Cologne. It is a renowned monument of German Catholicism and Gothic architecture and is a World Heritage Site. In World War II, the city center of Cologne was leveled by bombings; the Cathedral was the only building that survived.The construction of the Cologne Cathedral began in 1248, in order to house the precious relict "Shrine of the Three Holy Kings".
