Manali is a romantic hill station situated in the Northern area of India, Himachal Pradesh. For centuries, Manali has been preferred as one of the best holiday spots for honeymooners and vacationers. What mystify Manali are its beautiful landscapes of the tranquil Himalayas which make it even more pretty. Apart from natural beauty there are several interesting tourist attractions in Manali that travelers can visit. Some significant charms of Manali are:

Hadimba Temple (above 1 km)

Hadimba Temple is built around a natural cave which enshrines the footprints of the goddess Hadimba.

Hadimba was the wife of Bhima one of the five great Pandava brothers of the Mahabharata. The temple is

also famous as “Doongri Temple”. It is one of the most significant temples in the area and has four storey

wooden buildings. The temple is situated in the midst of nature called Dhungiri Van Vihar. The temple

has some unique wooden carvings which portrays legendary qualities and patterns of animals & immense

dancers. Every year in May a big celebration is organized here. The place is the most preferable picnic spot

amongst travelers.

Lord Ram Temple (Vashisht)

Situated at a distance of 3 km from the village of Vashisht, the place is popular for its hot sulphur springs.

The place has the site of some ancient temples, dedicated to the great sage Vashisht and Lord Rama. It is

placed on the bank of Beas, but well above the river. The Himachal Tourism sulphur baths are just beyond

these shrines separated for gents and ladies.

Arjun Goofa:

An oldest cave in close proximity to the village of “prini”, Arjun Goofa is the most interesting tourist spot

in Manali. A number of people come to see this historical cave where Arjuna practiced strictly to get the

influential “Pashupatinath Astra” (Weapon) from lord Indra Devta. The cave is positioned at the bank of

the river and gives a picturesque view for you.

Manu Maharaja Temple:

The Temple is positioned at Manali Village which is just located at 1.5km away from the main city. The

deities are found in the court Yard of the house of a person, named Gauri of Dhauni Chauni. The temple is

constructed on the right spot and witness a famous Phagli fair after 6th day of Phalgun. The festival is

organized in the honor of Manu Maharaja, through the year. It indicates the starting of the spree of fairs

in the valley.
