This is an eco tour challenge for Yr 11 students. It involves their learning in

the areas of Geology and Geography.

• It is the project for Yr 11 students of Geology and Geography.

StandardsStandards• The students will use Google map to locate Punakaiki rocks in New Zealand .

• Using given websites and other resources of their choice they will find out about limestone rocks and how they are formed?

• They will also find out how the rocks got the pancake shape?

• They will find out the Maori legends regarding to these rocks

• They will deliver a 15min talk about all the above after working in pairs to class pretending to be the tour guides serving some American rock enthusiasts.
