D A Y E X C U R S I O N S F R O M M A A S A I M A R APrice range USD390 – USD485The adventure begins just before dawn. Departure is from a perfect naturallaunch site behind Little Governors’ Camp, and flames from the hot airballoon burners light the darkness as the crews inflate their craft. The first, pink tongues of sunlight flicker across the skies as the hot air balloon fills, then rises. Suspended in a basket beneath the rainbow-coloured canopy, you’re off for a game-viewing adventure with an entirely different perspective. What amazes most first-time balloonists is the absolute stillness: the silenceas you float above the plains, the forest and the rivers of the Masai Mara.Even if you’ve flown elsewhere, this is a unique experience.

The flight lasts an hour or so, drifting wherever the air currents take you, andwith ample opportunities for photography and video filming.

Then your Kenyan Hot Air Balloon Safari finishes with a flourish. In the timehonoured tradition of balloon flights the world over, you toast your return toearth with a champagne breakfast, cooked wherever you land. The BalloonSafari ends with some leisurely game viewing on the way back to Camp.

It is a tradition of Governors’ that each passenger is presented with acertificate signed by the pilot to commemorate the flight.

Price determined on seasonal basis but range from USD450-USD685 perpersonThe fishing in Lake Victoria is exciting, and both Nile Perch and Tilapiacan be caught.

There are a number of fishing boats, which have been well equipped fortrawling for Nile Perch. The Nile Perch is the king of the lake’s fish. It cangrow to 1.8 metres (6 feet) long, and weigh 140 kilograms (300 pounds).Fish of 5 to 15 kilos are regularly caught, and are delicious eating.

We have all of the necessary fishing tackle that you require, and our well-trained boatman will give you all the help that you need.

In the shallows there are Tilapia, which can be caught either amongst thereeds from one of our boats, or off the jetty. Casting for Tilapia at sunset, with a glass of chilled white wine, is a pleasant way to spend an evening.

Whilst you are fishing you can enjoy the bird-life resident along the lakeshore, the families of otters amongst the rocks and colourful Luo fishingvillages along the shore. You can then savour your freshly caught fish forlunch or dinner, prepared by our expert local chefs.

It is scaring to thinkof a mother giving birth and putting the youngimmature baby in a black polythene paper bag andthrowing the indefinable baby into the dumping site.Several instance, we have had of a story where adog rescued such a baby. While most of the babiesmay not be lucky the ones who get to the future babyhome get hope from the caring mother of babies Mrs.Jane Mbogo her family and her helpers plusvolunteers.
