Important regions- Four major regions: plains of Pampas, southern plateau of Patagonia, Northern Flats of Gran Chaco, Andes Mountains along western border
Major rivers- Paran (largest), Pilcomayo, Paraguay, Bermejo, Colorado, Ro Negro, Salado, Uruguay

Climate- temperate climate: North- subtropical, very hot, humid summers, drier winters; South- subpolar, warm summers, cold winters, snowfall; Central- hot summers with thunderstorms, cool winters
