EL CABO DE LA VELA

El cabo de la vela is a place located

in the north of Guajira, Colombia. on the Caribbean

sea.

It’s a beautiful place with virgin

beach, I mean this place is natural, it

doesn’t have modern buildings

and it doesn’t have confortable hotel.

In this place you only find typical constructions of

the Wayuu culture.

Before of to travel to el Cabo de la Vela you don’t forget:

You should to review the operation of the car to avoid breakdowns during the trip.

The car’s tank should be full gasoline, because near to place there are few oil station.

You need to buy water because on the way you don’t find market or restaurant.

* When you travel to this place you don’t should to carry valuable things because in it there are no safe hotels.

* When you travel to El Cabo de la Vela you have to have cash because in the restaurants, hotels and other services only you can pay with cash they don’t receive credit card or stuff like that.

When you travel to it you need to carry a camera for you take several photos to the landscape..

It’s a good idea to visit El Cabo de la Vela, because you can enjoy the landscape, I mean, to see the late afternoon and the dawn or to feel the wind. Also you can to swim, to enjoy the beach and to know about the Wayuu culture.

* When you travel to El Cabo de la Vela you don’t forget to visit Pilon de Azucar. It’s a nice beach where there are high waves and fine and orange sand.

* In this you can climb the hill of the little virgin, it’s located next to Pilon de Azucar and from the top you can see a beautiful landscape.

* It’s a great idea to sleep in a hamaca outdoor but you have to use a blanket for protection from the cold.
