Audi’s sedan A3 has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs 22.95 lakhs

which is ex-showroom Delhi price and is available with two engine options and is

priced slightly competitively compared to the Mercedes-Benz A- and B-Class and

BMW 1 series. The two engine options are 35TDI and 40TFSI, the Audi A3 Sedan

has S tronic dual clutch transmission system which is a technology that was initially

developed for the Le Mans 24hrs survival race to deliver more control, torque and

improve fuel efficiency. The 35TDI gives best in class fuel efficiency of 20.38 km

per litre. To get a speed of 0 to 100 km/h, it takes 7.3 seconds in the 40TFSI and

8.6 seconds in the 35 TDI versions respectively. When it comes to Audi A3 price in

India, the A3 35TDI is priced at Rs 22, 95,000/- onwards (Ex showroom Delhi) and

Audi A3 40TFSI is priced at Rs 28, 95,000.

Specifications of Audi A3 Sedan

The A3 sedan just looks like the A4 and the A6 but in a smaller package. It is also

the first carrier of the new badging which Audi will adopt in all of its cars. It will

offer an optional S line body and accent kit. The car can also be specified with non-

compulsory 17 inch wheels. The A3 also has LED DRLs and bi xenon head lamps.

Inside the cabin, the A3 does not feel any less luxurious. The steering wheel is

wrapped with leather while there is the 7 inch MMI screen, which has handwriting

which warns the driver of exhaustion. Audi A3 will be available in four trim levels

for the diesel version and one trim for the petrol version.
