The Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
These islands are off of the coast ofEcuador and are beautiful, rich in wildlifeand with limited human corruption, so you’reentering a space that’s very close to hownature intended. You’ll encounter uniquewildlife specimens who remain relativelyunafraid of humans. Visitors can evensnorkel with sea lions and turtles!
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
The former capital of Brazil has stunningwhite sand beaches and a vibrant nightlife;you won’t feel at a loss for things to do whileyou’re here! Rio is home to the famousbeach, Ipanema, and is a beautiful place torelax. Carnival is a fantastic festival toexperience, as is a hike to the Christ theRedeemer statue that overlooks the city.
Argentine Patagonia, Argentina
The Patagonia region is rich with a variety ofdifferent environments. From the stunningmountain ranges, to the Lake District, andprairies with roaming cattle, this is theperfect South American destination to seestunning vistas. This area has been referredto as South America’s best national park,which is no surprise considering all of thenatural beauty for your eyes to feast upon.
While Europe may immediately come tomind for most people when they hear“international travel,” there are many
other gorgeous travel destinationsthroughout the world that you can go to,
often for a much cheaper price thanheading to a European country.
Angel Falls, Venezuela
Angel Falls is located in Canaima NationalPark and is the tallest waterfall in the world it’s 19 times higher than Niagara Falls! It’s ina pretty remote location as well, around1000 miles outside of the capital ofVenezuela, so you won’t be overwhelmedby the amount of tourists. Getting there is abit of a trek, either by boat, flying, or hikingthrough the jungle, but the trip will be agreat adventure.
Huacachina, Peru
Huacachina is a tiny city located in themiddle of the desert in Peru. It’s a literaloasis city, mainly around for the use oftourists to come and visit. There’s a lagoonthat’s rumored to have a mermaid in it andbuggy rides over the sand dunes that are ata breakneck pace! End your day atHuacachina by watching a sunset over thesand dunes, a truly unforgettableexperience.
Lake Titicaca, Bolivia
This lake is set in the middle of the Andesmountains and has gorgeous views of thesky and mountains surrounding it. Plan togo out on the lake on a clear day, when theclouds and mountains will be reflected onthe mirrorlike surface. It’s South America’slargest lake and possesses a rich history,with various groups of indigenous peopleliving around the lake.
