1. Tourism and Multimodal IS are very different in their conception and realization (logic, objectives, users)
2. How to provide a smart, reliable and non-discriminatory transnational information about sustainable mobility offers to/from and within the Alpine Space?
3. Through a SMIN bringing transport and tourism together (stakeholders and tools)
4. Developping a transalpine management and diffusion strategy on sustainable mobility offers provided to tourists
Après AlpInfoNet (after AlpInfoNet)
– L’usager visite ses sites habituels
– Il récupère toutes les infos car les systèmes sont liés
– User visits his well-known sites
– But he gets all information because all systems are linked

L’alternative à un réseau serait un nouveau système intégrant toutes les infos de tous les systèmes, MAIS:
– avec un réseau l’usager trouve ses infos sur ces sites habituels– l’usager ne pas chercher un nouveau site – les systèmes membres du réseau existent et fonctionnent déjà– la conception et le fonctionnement d’un nouveau système serait trop chère– le transfert transnational de données semble difficile– un système spécifique n’a jamais été envisagé
Un réseau à la place d’un nouveau système (network instead of a new system)
Alternative to a network would be a new system containing all information of all today systems, BUT:
– on a network the user finds information at his well-known websites – user will not find a new website– member systems of the network already exist and run– buildup and operation of new system would cause costs– transnational data transfer for new system seems difficult– own system was never intended
AlpInfoNet structure (work in progress)
Conditions, démarche (conditions, process)
– Capitalization of existing IS (all scales)
– Collecting and understanding users needs on tourism and transport information, and their modal shift potential
– Identifying transport and tourism IS operators, their needs and potential of adaptation.
– Precising and coordinating the technical, political, financial and legal interoperability (norms, standards, contracts, etc.) between the selected IS in order to perpetuate the network
– Structring and perpetuating the information network among a set of pilot regions

Ce qu’est et ce que n’est pas AlpInfoNet (what is and what is not AlpInfoNet)
– Not a panalpine meta-portal
– Not a booking service, no price information will be given (static links)
– A set of existing IS (not all through the Alpine Arc) smart-linked to a SMIN,
– A SMIN including only sust. transp. modes (“classical” TP + semi-public and private collective services)
– A tool to give a set of best practice rules or recommended actions for building up a SMIN
– A set of pilot regions as demonstrators and proof for the rules

- Disponibilité, qualité et robustesse des données (échelle internationale)- Compatibilité des systèmes, harmonisation des données- Droits de propriété et d’exploitations des données et services développés- Participation des acteurs privés (touristique)- Business Model à long terme !
Difficultés, problèmes à surmonter
- Data availability, quality and robustness (international scale)- Compatibility of systems, data harmoniaztion- Property and exploitation rights of datas and services to be developped- Participation of private actors (tourism) - Long term Business Model !
Les résultats d’Integra sont novateurs et de qualité
Deux points forts sur lesquels une coopération peut se construire : échelle internationale qualité de la gouvernance

- Integra’s outcomes are innovative and of good quality- 2 main points could lead to a cooperation:
- International scale- Good governance
Un “marché” sans doute énorme…Mais les développements :- doivent être adaptés aux territoires et aux usagers (capitalisation)- n’auront pas de sens sans une politique volontariste de transport durable à toutes les échelles
Journey planners ? SI ?
Certainly a huge market…But the forthcoming developments:- Should remain adapted to users and territories (capitalization)- will be a nonsense without a volountary sustainable transport policy at each scale
