  • 1.The sight of Milans flagship shops of Italian and international designers form an ebullient bouquet of boutiques that emanate the kind of exotic aromas that raise goose bumps and instantly seduce those susceptible to spending. This tour uncovers the fashion sights you must see when in

2. Piazza del Duomo Dwarfed by Il Duomo itself, this is the place to start your tour of Milans fashion sights. Packed with flagship stores and small boutiques, it is also home to the impressive Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (see next slide). 3. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II This glittering cluster of bars, restaurants, bookshops and venues of high fashion exude and emphasize the spectacular lustre of the elite themselves. So whats inside? For many tourists, what they cant afford. Theres Swarovski, Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tods for shoes, and many more. This towering, vaulted creation is a must for any visitor to Milan. 4. Armani at Via Manzoni Saunter east along Via Manzoni until suddenly everything goes blurry and all you can really focus upon is one name: Armani. Though usually referred to as Emporio Armani, here its actually Empire Armani (or Armani Superstore). This department store contains floors of fashion, books, a bar, florist and coffee bar. If all that makes you tired, perched atop is the Armani Hotel. 5. Via Montenapoleone The area aroun Via Monte Napoleone is home to a number of flagship stores and boutiques. Check out Abercrombie & Fitch on nearby Via Verri, and the large Ralph Lauren store. Compare Ralphs warehouse to Louis Vuitton at number 2. Also here: Gucci (no. 7), Versace (no. 11), Prada (women only at no. 8), and the famous deli restaurant Salumaio di Montenapoleone full of gourmet delights. 6. Via Della Spiga If Via Montenapoleone is considered the most expensive street in Italy, Via Della Spiga shouldnt turn green with envy, and it beats the other for sheer atmospheric charm. Here one is able to spend in peace. Close to the 5-star Carlton Hotel Baglioni and its caffe are Armanic, Dolce & Gabbana (two locations), Tiffany & Co and Krizia. The local jewellery store, Pasquale Brun, has window-shopping specialities so ornate they glitter! I Pinco Pallino (no. 42) is where to dress children, and at Roccobarocco theres evening wear for sophisticated ladies. For furs try De Nicola, and opposite Spiga 46 for gloves. 7. Via SantAndrea Along Via SantAndrea, the highlight may be fashions at Miu Miu, which manage to combine pure pizzazz with infectious design. The miu is for Miuccia Prada, who has been amusing clients since 1992. Her boutique doesnt suffer the designer ambience of others, and has space for you to see yourself in the mirror. Elsewhere on the street are Chanel (no. 10), Missoni (no. 2), Moschino (no. 12), Prada Sport and Hermes (no. 12), and Gianni Versaci (no. 14). 8.
