MACY 'S FIREWORKS

A New York City tradition, Macy’s annually launchesover 40,000 fireworks for a 25-minute show for NewYorkers and the rest of the country to experience.

While it can be overwhelming to find the perfectspot to see the radiant fireworks in real time. For thebest view of the fireworks over the Manhattanskyline, some prime spots you can visit include theBrooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO, Brooklyn HeightsPromenade, or the lesser known Frank Sinatra Parkin Hoboken, NJ.

Food for thought: To get a good spot withfriends or family, be sure to pack a picnic, afrisbee, and head to any one of the aboveplaces to enjoy the lights over New York City’sskyline. The Macy’s fireworks will occur onMonday, July 4th, 2016 at 8:00 pm.

One of the most classic symbols of Americanculture in the 50’s, Coney Island continues to bea main hub for everything related to summerfun. On Coney Island visitors can relax on thebeach, ride the roller coaster, play somecarnival games, and enjoy some classic summerfoods, and head to Nathan’s to check out thisestablishment’s history.

Food for thought: After the day at the boardwalk,

take your lawn chairs and belongings anywherebetween West 10th and West 12th streets to see thefireworks in the evening (which will take placeFriday at 9:30 pm). If you are feeling adventurous,you can even take a spin on the Wonder Wheel toget a closer glimpse of the lights in action. Thebeaches across Coney Island will open at 10amduring the July 4th holiday weekend.

Taking the watertaxi is the most ideal way to see all the stunningskyscrapers in NYC without being subjected to thecrowds, long lines or overly populatedneighborhoods.

Many New York attractions are bike accessible soas long as you keep the lock in a safe spot. Visitingmuseums and restaurants is not a problem whenrenting a bike for the day to enjoy the holidayweekend during the 4th of July.
