Big Ben is one of the most favourite tourist attractions in Great Britain. It is situated in the central part of London, where most historic and architectural sights stand. Being one of the world’s tallest free-standing structures the Clock Tower, formerly St Stephen’s Tower, gracefully stands at the north end of the Westminster Palace. As for the clock itself, it’s the world’s largest four-faced chiming clock. Big Ben has often appeared in films as an internationally recognized symbol of England.

Madam Tussaud's is the most popularand talked about wax museum in theworld. There are wax models of thefamous and infamous, both living anddead, from every walk of life. ElvisPresley, the Beatles, the RollingStones, Marilyn Monro, MichaelJackson, Alfred Hitchcock, CharlieChaplin, the British Royal family, BillClinton, Jack the Ripper ... There is noother place where you can see all thecelebrities at once, even if they areonly wax figures. So if you want to rubshoulders with kings and queens orthe latest pop stars, or probably withnotorious criminals, this is the place togo.

Buckingham Palace is one of the major tourist attractions in London. It is the official residency o the British monarchy. At the moment British monarchy is led by Queen Elizabeth II. Each time the royal family is in the palace, a flag flies on the roof.

The tower of London is one of the main symbols of the UK, which occupies a special place in the history of the English nation.

Tower, a fortress, stands on the North Bank of the Thames, historic center of London and one of the oldest buildings of England. As wrote the Duke of Edinburgh in his book, dedicated to the 900th anniversary of the tower, "in its history, the tower of London and was a fortress, a Palace, and a repository of Royal jewels, Arsenal, mint, and a prison, an Observatory, a zoo, and a place that attracts tourists."

The Stonehenge stone circles are in England. We don't know a lot about Stonehenge. Who built it? How did they build it? Why did they build it? It's a mystery. People built Stonehenge with bluestones and sarsen stones. There were about 80 bluestones. They came from mountains 250 kilometers away. They are very heavy – some weigh about 4 metric tons. The sarsen stones are even bigger and heavier. About 4000 years ago, people transported them from 30 kilometers away.

London eye - the Ferris wheel was built in London, England to celebrate the Millennium. The second name of this attraction - "the Millennium Wheel".

By the time of construction of the London eye was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world. Its height is 135 meters from the Foundation. Later, the London eye yielded similar attraction in Singapore. It is also planned to build several more high attractions.
