Zaha Hadid (Bagdad, October 1950 - March 2016) Winner of the
Pritzker award, the UK’s most prestigious architecture award. A prolific architect and designer around the
world.
Annabelle Selldorf (1960, Cologne Germany) is a German-born architect
and principal founder of Selldorf Architects, a New York City-based architecture firm. She is a fellow of
the American Institute of Architects.
Gaetana Aulenti (Udine, 1927 - October 2012) Italian architect and
industrial designer. One of the most relevants of the XX Century. Famous for the creation of the Orsay
Museum in Paris.
Anne Griswold Tyng (July 1920 – December 2011) Was an architect and
professor. She is best known for having collaborated with Louis I. Kahn at his practice in Philadelphia, for
29 years.
Kasuyo Sejima (Japan, October 1956). In 1981, after graduating from Japan Women's University with a master's degree in
Architecture, she joined Toyo Ito and Associates.
Lina Bo Bardi (Rome, December 1914 - São Paulo March 1992)
Devoted her working life, mostly in Brazil, to promoting the social and cultural potential of
architecture and design, through creations based on social consciousness. She was also famed for her
furniture and jewellery designs. Creator of the famous Sao Paulo Museum of art.
Marion Lucy Mahony Griffin (Chicago, February 1871 - August 1961) An American
architect, famous for the design of the city of Canberra, Australia. She was one of the first women
to earn the architect degree.
Julia Morgan (January 1872 – February 1957) She was an American architect in California. She designed more than 700
buildings in California during a long and prolific career.
