The Start Menu is back!

You can access your programs and apps (including most used and recently added), the settings, and turn off your computer.

Click on All apps to get to all of your apps.

You can right click on an app and resize it, uninstall it pin it to your task bar, etc.

To shut off your computer click on the windows button, click on Power, then click on Shut down.

Cortana

Cortana is Microsoft’s version of Apple’s SIRI and Google’s Google Now. She is named after the assistant to the Master Chief in the computer game Halo.

Edge

Edge is Microsoft’s new Web Browser.

Action Center

You can get to the settings, notifications etc. through the action center. To get to it click on the Notifications Button in the lower right hand corner of the screen.

Settings takes the place of the control panel.

Microsoft Store

You can buy apps, games, music, and movies and tv shows through the Microsoft Store. You can purchase these with a credit card or a Microsoft Store Gift Card. Click on the icon with the shopping bag with the windows symbol on it to get to the store.

You can click on Task View, then New desktop to create a new desktop., or to get to another desktop that you have already created.

All updates are now mandatory. You cannot choose what updates to download and updates are automatically downloaded.

What are they taking away in Windows 10?

Windows Media CenterCan be replaced by Kodi, Plex, or MediaPortal.

GadgetsCan be replaced by 8GadgetPack or Sidebar by

gadgetsrevived.com.

My Computer has Windows 7 or Windows 8. How do I upgrade to Windows 10?

Click on the Get Windows 10 Button, then click on Get Windows 10, then Download now.

Then restart your computer when it’s ready and it will upgrade to Windows 10

Run the Windows Updates to your computer to make sure you have the latest updates for your computer.
